Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hit out at Amarinder Singh calling him out for looking at political gains in the farmers’ protest.
In the heat of farmers protest in New Delhi, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said a controversial statement that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had passed the three farm laws in Delhi.
This statement left Arvind Kejriwal in shock and dismay of the cheap politics happening in the country.
Responding to the allegations, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hit out at Amarinder Singh calling him out for looking at political gains in the farmers’ protest.
Arvind Kejriwal held a brief press conference in Delhi and address the media persons. He said,” Punjab Chief Minister is now making allegations against me, which are completely baseless. He is saying that I have passed the brazen laws in Delhi. All this cheap politics is being done because I didn’t give in to the Centre’s demand for converting Delhi stadiums into jails for protesting farmers.”
The Delhi chief minister alleged that his Punjab counterpart was making false allegations against him.
“Are you under the pressure of the Centre government and making fake allegations against me and speaking Bharatiya Janata Party’s language? Are you doing all due to any pressure because Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investing a case against your family? ,” Kejriwal said.
Arvind Kejriwal sais,” Amarinder Singh got several opportunities to stop these brazen farm bills , but he didn’t do anything. The people of Punjab and all across India are questioning him on his stance. A committee was formed in 2019 to formulate these bills and Amarinder Singh was a part of that committee. Why did he not use his voice against these laws? Why did he hide these facts till now, why?”
“We need to take a stand – are we with the farmers or the ones who are calling them terrorists? I request the Centre to accept the demands of these farmers and guarantee them the MSP,” he added.
