November 21st: World Hello Day

November 21st: World Hello Day

The importance of a simple Hello!

‘Hello!’ is the most commonly used greeting and today is World Hello Day. 21st November of each year is observed as World Hello Day. It may seem like a day to simply greet people a bit more than usual, however, the story behind it is quite interesting. This day is an opportunity to express the value of communication during conflicts. Across the globe, people use this occasion to express their concerns about World peace.

World Hello Day was established in 1973 by Brian McCormack and Michael McCormack. This day was created with the motive of showing people that conflicts can and should be solved through communication rather than violence. The basic idea is to preserve peace, which can be done through honest communication. The global event was initiated as a response to the Yom Kippur War.

The McCormack brothers wrote letters to 1,360 government leaders worldwide in seven languages. The letter was to make them participate in celebrating the first World Hello Day. Since then, people from 180 countries have been actively participating in this day. Celebrating this day is simple. All you have to do is to greet at least ten people today. This demonstrates that you value personal communication for preserving peace over any other means.

Michael shared his old memories of wife Catherine with media

Washington –

November 20, 2020: Hollywood star Michael Douglas, and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, and to mark the occasion, Douglas, shared an adorable audio message on Instagram detailing how he met her.

According to Fox News, it all began when he attended a screening of the movie, ‘The Mask of Zorro; one of Zeta-Jones’ breakout roles. The 76-year-old actor recounted,” I’m watching this movie, I go, ‘Wow, who is this girl, she’s incredible,’” Douglas recounted, and his friends told him about the actor who was then an up-and-comer.

He recalled, “A month later, I was at the Deauville Film Festival. … I see on the schedule that the next day at the festival, they’re going to have ‘Zorro’ there. So I asked my assistant: ‘Can you find out if Catherine Zeta-Jones is going to be here at the festival and if she’s coming alone? And if she is, can I have a drink with her?

The Oscar winner’s assistant came through and set up a rendezvous for the two.

“The next day, she arrives with Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, and I have a drink with her and it was everything I hoped for, then she invited me to dinner with her company, I’m thinking, ‘I’m looking good, this is looking good.’”

After dinner, the 51-year-old actor Zeta-Jones had to hurry off to another engagement, but Douglas told her that he’d be at the bar later if she wanted to join him again.

The ‘Ant-Man’ actor reminisced,”Sure enough, I must have been batting one thousand, because, after the movie, I’m sitting at the bar, and like ‘Laurence of Arabia,’ this mirage comes through the lobby and it’s Catherine Zeta-Jones.”

As per Fox News, the two enjoyed a bit more time together before Douglas hit Zeta-Jones with a bold line.

“I’m going to be the father of your children,” he told her.

Douglas remembered, “And she left. She left early the next morning and I thought I completely had blown it.”

“She looked at me and she said, ‘I’ve heard a lot about you, I’ve heard a lot about you, I guess it’s all true good night.’”

All hope was not lost, however, as they eventually “made contact” again, and, as Douglas put it, “the rest is history.”

The couple married in 2000 and now share two children: 20-year-old Dylan, and 17-year-old Carys. Douglas also has a 41-year-old son, Cameron, from a previous marriage.

In the comments of the Instagram post, Zeta-Jones, also an Oscar-winning actor, wrote: “I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.”

Engineered immune cells can be new hope for the HIV Patients

Engineered immune cells can be new hope for the HIV Patients

These cells would help to produce special antibodies to defeat multiple viruses at once

Washington-

November 20, 2020: Scientists at Scripps Research have drawn nearer to accomplishing a victory over HIV research with another antibody approach that would foresee engineered immune cells from the patient’s body.

As indicated by Science Daily, this week, researchers occupied with finding the answer for the infection which keeps on contaminating millions around the globe got a lot nearer to the sacred goal of accomplishing a methodology that would make the creation of HIV antibody conceivable.

HIV is a sickness that has demonstrated dubious to be forestalled with customary antibodies, since it advances quickly in the body, as indicated by the investigation. As per the analysts, an answer for the equivalent would require industrious influence of the body into delivering an extraordinary sort of counter acting agent that can demonstration comprehensively to crush various strains of the infection immediately. This examination has urged researchers to chip away at a methodology that would depend on hereditarily engineered immune cells from the patient’s body.

Science Daily detailed that James Voss, Ph.D., of Scripps Research and his group in 2019, demonstrated that reinventing of the immunizer qualities of the safe framework’s B cells utilizing CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) was an inability to deliver the cells that would comprehensively kill similar HIV antibodies found in uncommon HIV patients.

However, after the new examination, Voss stated, “In tests including mice, the methodology effectively initiated extensively killing antibodies likewise called Broadly killing Antibodies (Bnabs) that can forestall HIV disease”.

The new examination says that the designed B cells duplicate because of immunization, in the wake of being once again introduced to the body and develop into memory and plasma that will deliver elevated levels of defensive antibodies for a significant stretch of time in the body.

“This is the first occasion when it has been demonstrated that adjusted B cells can make a strong designed immunizer reaction in a pertinent creature model,” Voss clarified through the report.

This immunization approach, be that as it may, offers want to the researchers to put a brake on the infection inescapable all through the globe, and conceivably a utilitarian fix to the individuals who as of now have HIV/AIDS.

As indicated by Science Daily, Voss told, “In people, the beginning cells to make the antibody could be acquired effectively from a basic blood draw, at that point designed in the lab prior to being once again introduced to the patient.” He and his group are presently investigating approaches to improve the innovation to make it effectively accessible to countless individuals.

“Individuals consider cell treatments being over the top expensive,” Voss says. “We’re doing a ton of work towards attempting to make the innovation reasonable as a precaution HIV antibody or useful fix that would supplant every day antiviral treatment,” he added.

The methodology may conceivably be a major move in the field of drugs however the conveyance of qualities to a patient’s own safe cells could end up being a critical test.
