Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hit out at Amarinder Singh calling him out for looking at political gains in the farmers’ protest.
In the heat of farmers protest in New Delhi, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said a controversial statement that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had passed the three farm laws in Delhi.
This statement left Arvind Kejriwal in shock and dismay of the cheap politics happening in the country.
Responding to the allegations, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hit out at Amarinder Singh calling him out for looking at political gains in the farmers’ protest.
Arvind Kejriwal held a brief press conference in Delhi and address the media persons. He said,” Punjab Chief Minister is now making allegations against me, which are completely baseless. He is saying that I have passed the brazen laws in Delhi. All this cheap politics is being done because I didn’t give in to the Centre’s demand for converting Delhi stadiums into jails for protesting farmers.”
The Delhi chief minister alleged that his Punjab counterpart was making false allegations against him.
“Are you under the pressure of the Centre government and making fake allegations against me and speaking Bharatiya Janata Party’s language? Are you doing all due to any pressure because Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investing a case against your family? ,” Kejriwal said.
Arvind Kejriwal sais,” Amarinder Singh got several opportunities to stop these brazen farm bills , but he didn’t do anything. The people of Punjab and all across India are questioning him on his stance. A committee was formed in 2019 to formulate these bills and Amarinder Singh was a part of that committee. Why did he not use his voice against these laws? Why did he hide these facts till now, why?”
“We need to take a stand – are we with the farmers or the ones who are calling them terrorists? I request the Centre to accept the demands of these farmers and guarantee them the MSP,” he added.
A 13-run win over Australia in the third and final ODI, India skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday Need to play with heart and desire when you come Down Under pressure.
While India opened their account in the ODI Super League with the win, Australia took the series 2-1. Luck was on India’s side, to begin with as Kohli won the toss for the first time in the series and decided to bat. While the top-order failed to fire in unison, the middle-order rose to the challenge and both Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja played match-winning knocks of 92 and 66 respectively to guide India to 302/5. Virat Kohli himself got among the runs as he played a knock of 63 runs.
“It’s particularly pleasing that we were under the pump for the first half of our innings and the second half of Australia’s, and we fought back both times. One guy making his debut, Shubman coming back, that brought us some freshness. I think the pitch was much better in terms of helping the bowlers, so obviously, the confidence levels go up. We were able to put Australia under pressure because of that fact as well,” said Kohli during the post-match presentation.
“Playing international cricket for 13-14 years, you should be able to come back as we did. I would have liked to go on for a bit longer, but we had a great partnership between Hardik and Jadeja. It was exactly what the team needed to get that boost, even though we’ve lost the series. We played with heart and desire, and that’s what you need to do in Australia,” he added. The addition of Shardul Thakur, T Natarajan, and Kuldeep Yadav also rejuvenated the bowling in the third ODI as the side was finally able to take wickets at regular intervals.
For the first time in the last six ODIs, the Men in Blue also managed to take a wicket in the powerplay overs. Aaron Finch played a knock of 75 runs, while Glenn Maxwell and Aston Agar tried their best to take Australia over the line. But in the end, Kohli and the boys managed to hang on to register a 13-run win.
Thakur scalped three wickets while Natarajan and Bumrah took two wickets each. India and Australia will now lock horns in the three-match T20I series, beginning Friday.

Various leaders from states who gave had a good rapport with the leadership of agitating farmers were also contacted.
The Centre on Tuesday held talks with farmers who are protesting the three farm laws. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Parkash met with representatives of the farmers at Vigyan Bhawan here.
Sources said that for the past two days, the ministers have worked the phone lines and there have been backchannel talks to find a way forward. They said various leaders from states who gave had a good rapport with the leadership of agitating farmers were also contacted.
At the Delhi border points, including Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur, heavy police force have been deployed.
This comes as farmers from Punjab and Haryana have been protesting against the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
Representatives of farmers, who held talks with the government on Tuesday over their demand for the repeal of three new farm laws, said that the meeting remained inconclusive and they will continue their protest. A farmer leader also said that the meeting was good and some progress was made and during the next meeting with government on Dec 3, they will convince it that the new farm bills are not pro-farmer. The representatives of farmers held talks with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and his deputy Som Prakash at Vigyan Bhawan.
Chanda Singh, a representative of protesting farmers, later told the media that their protest will continue till they take something from the government “be it bullets or peaceful solution”.
“Our movement will continue and we will definitely take back something from the government, be it bullets or peaceful solution. They want discussion and not a solution. We will come for more discussions again with them,” he said.
Tomar told the media after the talks held at Vigyan Bhawan that the “meeting was good” and another round of talks will be held on December 3. Surjeet Singh Phul, Punjab president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), said the meeting remained inconclusive.
“The talks went on for three hours but remained inconclusive. The government proposed that there will be an 11-member committee in which five members will be from the government and six from the farmers’ side. But we rejected the proposal. We had told them that anti-farmer laws must be withdrawn. There is no other way to solve farmers’ problems,” he said. Manjeet Singh Dhaner, a farmer leader, told the media that the next level of talks will be held on Thursday at 12 pm.
“Our agitation will continue. Tomorrow a committee will list out the problems in the anti-farmers laws. Day after tomorrow, we will meet again. We have told them that we will continue our protest until the laws are withdrawn,” he said.
Prem Singh Bhangu, President, All India Kisan Federation, also said that their agitation will continue.
“Today’s meeting was good and some progress was made. During our next meet on 3rd Dec with government, we’ll convince them that no clause of Farm law is pro-farmer. Our agitation will continue,” he said.
Tomar said they wanted a small group to be constituted but farmers’ leaders wanted that the talks should be held with everyone.
“We do not have a problem with it. We appeal to the farmers to suspend the protests and come for the talks. However, this decision (to end protest) depends on farmers’ unions and farmers,” he said.
Sources said that government had suggested that the proposed committee will also have agricultural experts apart farmer representatives apart from those from the government.
Thousands of farmers are protesting in Delhi and its borders against three new farm laws enacted by the government.
Unfazed by the militant threat, two DDC election candidates from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Nazir Ahmad Dar and Sajjad Raina have been campaigning door to door.
Pulwama, J&K —
As the District Development Council (DDC) elections have begun as a first polling exercise after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the DDC candidates have finally started their door to door campaign in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Observers believe that the development attains significant importance, given the fact that south Kashmir — Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam — is a stronghold of militants with the area having remote stretches of the mountain where the Army has hardly ventured.
Unfazed by the militant threat, two DDC election candidates from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Nazir Ahmad Dar and Sajjad Raina have been campaigning door to door. Both of them started their campaign from their native villages.
Nazir went door to door in his native Rahmoo village while seeking support for election from Pulwama-II constituency. On the other hand, Sajad Raina, the BJP‘s nominee for Pulwama B, started the door-to-door election campaign from his native Arihal village.
As the polling date is inching closer for their constituencies, both the candidates are intensifying their voter outreach. They ask people to support and vote for them and in return, the development of their villages is promised.
Meanwhile, the regional parties who decided to fight the DDC elections under the banner of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) alleged that BJP was barring their leaders from door to door campaign. However, they also see DDC election as a people’s election which can lead to development, provided that the right candidates are elected.
