Health Interface – The Future of Electronic Health Records

Health Interface is a mobile app and SaaS developed by Artelir Inc to create a globally interconnected digital healthcare ecosystem using AI.

When a patient visits any doctor, clinic or hospital the first thing that the doctor, clinic or hospital does is asks questions to record the patients’ medical history, the history and medical condition of the patients’ family members including a past history of his and their ailments. Research has shown that 60% (sixty percent) of patients report that the same repetitive process occurs each time a patient visits a different doctor, clinic, or hospital.

The world over there is a movement to ensure that a patients’ medical and health record are to be handed over to the patient. The US has already passed legislation to this effect as has the United Arab Emirates. Other countries will follow soon enough since the prevailing view is that if patients had their medical and health records handy management of the global COVID-19 pandemic could have been better managed. 

The US-based company Artelir Inc, with a branch office in Dubai, has developed a mobile app and SaaS called Health Interface (HI) backed by a vision to create a globally interconnected digital healthcare ecosystem using Artificial Intelligence.

HIfor Doctors and Individuals offers three main components on its platform which can be accessed on the mobile app or web page.

The First aspect of the App is Virtual Consultancy which connects patients with medical professionals via video/audio so they can consult them through a virtual medium. Virtual consultancy with in-build translation facilities in major languages of the world expands the utility of the App. For example, a Spanish speaking patient can easily communicate with an English-speaking doctor or a French speaking doctor. The patient’s Spanish will be translated into English or French and the doctor will hear the patient in English or French and vice versa.

The Second is a community feed where people can connect with each other and say HI to share advice, render support and share Blogs/Vlogs.

The Third is EMR/EHR which is a tool for customizing a treatment plan by using the App. HI believes that every individual is the Owner of his or her medical and health data and that they should have unrestricted access to it. HI is designed to provide a patient access to his or her Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) with a two-factor authentication triggered solely by the patient for facilitating viewing by healthcare providers anytime, globally. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) the App informs the doctor if a patient is allergic to a certain medication. This assists the doctor in making an informed decision. The App using AI then suggests an alternative medication via the in-built e-prescription of the app.

A spin-off of the HI concept is HI Virtual Clinic. This concept is very relevant for countries with a widely dispersed rural population which do not have ready access to doctors or specialists. Doctors and specialists are typically located in larger towns and big cities and only basic healthcare is available to rural populations through the medium of paramedics or nurses. The expense of traveling to see a doctor in a town or city, the doctor’s fees act as a disincentive for the rural patient. HI has finalized the design of a virtual clinic and which can be rolled out in various countries under a franchise model. All these virtual clinics will be ‘on-boarded’ on to the HI platform giving each “virtual clinic” direct access to doctors, labs and other medical facilities in towns, cities, and overseas.

The App, in brief, encompasses the entire gamut of functionalities that will encourage users to refer to it several times in a day.

“With the launch of HI, we are reimagining how healthcare is delivered to people with chronic conditions,” Dr Aasif Ali Siddiqui, Co-Founder and CEO of Artelir Inc, said in a statement. HI has partnered with Vonage for video call services and commenced Beta testing in the US and UAE. Doctors can register themselves now on their website.

HI next additions to the App will feature such as Pharmacy and Diagnostic labs. This work in progress is at an advanced stage and will be launched in the coming months.

Arafat Mohideen Bhat – The sensational rap kid from Pulwama

SRINAGAR (J&K): He is just 10 years old but the rap songs he produces makes you crave for more of his content. Inspired by the trending rap songs on video-sharing platform YouTube, the kid from Prichoo village in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district has sung more than eight sizzling songs.

Assisted by his cousin brother, the little rapper Arafat Mohideen Bhat has made it to headlines in local as well as national newspapers and news portals.

Amid the pandemic of novel Coronavirus when lockdown forced people to stay indoors and spend more time on social networking websites, the kid has been able to garner more than 17 thousand subscribers on his YouTube channel “RAP-KID [Arfat]”.

Arafat, a 4th standard student, has won hearts and become a sensation in a very short period of time for which his talent has contributed more than his young age.

The kid is thankful for the support from his parents. He says, “My family is very supportive and they have always backed me up.”

His father, Ghulam Mohideen Bhat, said: “He was singing and dancing from an early age. Now he sings rap songs but I have no idea about it. My Urdu is not good so I don’t understand it. Right now, I like what my son is doing and I am trying to give him my full support. I appeal to the government to provide him with a platform so that he can move forward and in the right direction.”

Falooda Express offers unique falooda recipes with several flavors. Offering variety with the freshness of cow milk, faloodas are available in classic flavors and kulfis in classic and natural flavors. Before getting in this far, Tarun Raj studied the market extensively before picking up options he could go for. He then identified what could be the business model as well. He said, “High rental has always been one of the big roadblocks to an entrepreneur’s ambitions. Therefore, I focused on a model that could bring this aspect down…although never imagined that I would bring it to a zero, which is the USP of Falooda Express.”

Quick in action within two months of lockdown, Tarun Raj established TRA Ventures and soft-launched the brand Falooda Express. He remarked, “It is a Quick Service Cart and Food Delivery brand. My focus was on making the street food already popular in various quarters in Chandni Chowk or quick-service restaurants come out in the open, yet with strict hygiene practices.” According to him, his thoughts before the lockdown merged well with lockdown challenges to shape the final outcome of presenting faloodas and kulfis using a cart.

In fact, he realized that hygienic and reasonably priced local sweets can do wonders. “These loveable sweets needed a breath of fresh air out of malls, without compromising the hygienic factors. Hence, I launched my own brand of falooda that has the potential to fill the gap that exists in this segment. I have kept it reasonably-priced, focusing on high-quality i.e., not letting them become soggy, and emphasizing on hygienic parameters that have become instrumental in the current scenario,” he added. Falooda order from a cart is delivered in a hygienic glass jar, along with a sanitizer, dry tissue, and cutlery. The most attractive proposition of Falooda Express is its Signature Stuffed Kulfi. Tarun Raj informed, “We have priced it at Rs 250, which may look enormous for a kulfi. But the best part is its presentation and technique. We present a complete fruit whereby the pulp is used to prepare kulfi. So, customers can buy the fruit and simply cut it into kulfi slices.” The signature offering comes in Mango, Kiwi, Apple, Pomegranate, Orange and Guava flavors.

Tarun Raj has already launched five carts which are operational in Janakpuri, west Delhi. A cart approach for food business is ideal for the time with zero rentals. He added, “Falooda Express also starts bringing in returns within six months of investments, which makes it a viable project to invest in that too not with a large capital. Therefore, this can be a good proposition for various individuals looking at starting on their own.”

With experience in the hospitality industry for about 15 years, Tarun Raj knew about several things that worked in his favor while venturing into this concept. “I am extremely optimistic about my plan. I want to expand Falooda Express on a franchisee route and expect to reach to different parts of NCR within six months. In a year’s time, I wish to grow it to other Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, if all goes according to my growth projections. In fact, I have even outlined plans for outdoor catering, which will definitely build our brand presence. We plan to set up live dessert counters at various events to popularize the brand,” informed Tarun Raj.

For now, the company is looking to offer franchise for carts, while outlet franchise will be applicable to those who own a space of their own. The cart model allows Tarun Raj to propel his model in an aggressive way. He will soon start operating two more carts in Rohini under ownership model. Furthermore, Falooda Express has already signed a deal with Faridabad-based Ankush Madan who has taken his franchisee for a cart and is expected to be operational soon at Sector 15 Faridabad market. Tarun Raj revealed that talks are already on with a few more potential franchisees. “I just want that when people think of kulfi and falooda in any part of the world, they should recall Falooda Express or at least crave for it,” he summed.
